TODAY IS MY LAST ADMIN DAY!

ok i feel bad to be so happy
but seriously 2 admin
jobs have convinced me that
i really DO suck at admin.haha.
or rather if i dont emo to death
feeling useless i will
kill the boss by frustrating him
to deathhh.

maybe im not suitable for this
kind of job lor.
dont really wanna dwell on it. :D

tried reading some java programming
that day. decided im going to have to
mug hard in uni and prob will end up
tearing my hair out learning computer
language. haha.

i feel utterly clueless about what the
book was saying. similar to the time
i just started reading photography
guide books. ahahaha.

i was like read a few lines...
"er WTH is an exposure"
so i flip another book to cross reference.
then the next few lines...
"what is shutter speed?"
and then flip thru another book.
and the process continues.haha.
so half the time i end up falling asleep
on the couch with all my books
flopping around me. heh.

but at least now i do feel that i know
the photog techniques BETTER.
haha. so i guess it helps to mug.

and my gran was so cute.
my aunt smsed me that i got the letter
during my tuition. so i was like ok i will
see it on sunday or sth.
then my gran called:

ahma: "wa gia tio puay liao."
(i get the letter liao.)

me: "si mi puay?"
(what letter?)

ahma: "dua oh eh puay la!"
(from the uni la!)

me: "ooh."

gran: "li buay hua hee eh meh?"
(u not happy meh?)

me: er...
(acts excited by this "new" news)

gran: "jia dua eh puay ah!!"
(VERY big letter ah!)

the funny thing is my gran told me ntu's
letter was DAMN BIG TOO.
("dua dua eh puay ah!")
then when i saw the envelope,
which was like B5 sized....
i was like very big meh.hahaha.

so ACCORDING to her its big
but i shall not be tricked till i see
it with my own eyes.LOL.
and the funny thing is she
actually RECOGNIZED the
NUS emblem. like LOL.
cause my gran is illiterate she
can only read out the alphabet.
but then she recognized which
letter is from nus which is from
ntu lei. pro.
if i never read the name i prob
wun realise which is which.HAHA.

i no want to do admin no more.
i seem to suck at it no matter
how i try.
i still cant figure out if its cause my
brain is just not wired for it or
i just plain suck.
like just SUCK.
i would like to think that its cause my
dad doesnt gimme clear instructions,
or rather i dont understand the
instructions. but i still think its cause
im not a good person for admin work.

i type things wrongly,
update wrongly,
dunno where to cross reference
all the stuff --
u get the idea.
and the worse is my memory.
goodness.
my dad and aunt would ask me now
and then about work stuff.
then i will blank out cause none
of the stuff i work is placed in my
brain. it only exists when i have
all my files around me.

they even had a bet about how
many invoices did i issue to my
aunt's company. =_________=
like bet to see how freaking
lousy my memory is.

i know im blur.
i know being blur doesnt help that
im doing admin work now.
and im trying to unblur. ): ): ):
really.
but doesnt seem to be working.
maybe i really just suck at it
no matter how i try la.
i also dunno.

im sian of being scolded so often.

gimme mugging anytime.
gimme a teaching job,
instructor, trainer, whatever.
tutoring or sth like that.
i prob can do it ok.

just read online that the child star of
the movie slumdog millionaire is being
sold by her father for 2 million rupees
WITHOUT her knowledge.

i know i cannot critique harshly on the
poor as most of us in Singapore have never
been through abject poverty.
not even those in our parents generation.
(the definition of abject poverty is living
on less than US$1 a day. )

and its definitely difficult to bring up lotsa
children in the slums where people can
actually die from dehydration and
starvation. so i dont have a right to criticise
people who sell their kids. they have a family
to raise, and they (some) believe strongly
that their child is better off having a better
life elsewhere.

and i also believe i cannot critise people
who do not inform their kids about this
as its probably too hurtful for the child to
know. moreover if they knew they might
object and etc etc etc.
i believe its inhumane but i do understand
where they come from, that some parents
are really heartbroken but have no choice.

but to sell a child when she is the one
SUPPORTING the family in the first place
is untolerable. Rubina's assignments after
the movie does get her family some $$,
and in a bid to get more, her father decides
to sell her.

i mean WTH he is earning 2-3 pounds a day
which is barely supporting the family and the
reason why they are better off then others
there is because of her.

and the $#@^&@ father wants to sell her.
and he actually changed his bid price from
the initial 50,000 rupees to FOURfold the
price.

the other thing i cannot stand is the fact these
people did not even check out the background
of the buyers. Im ok if ur desperate and have
to sell ur child but at the least since u CARE so
much and want him/her to have a better
future shouldnt u CHECK OUT IF THE KID
IS GOING TO FALL INTO THE WRONG
HANDS?!

but NO,
they dont bother to.
and what does this show then?

the news reporter pretended to be a middle
eastern royalty and wanted to negotiate the
adoption. rubina's father accepted to meet
them WITHOUT checking the background,
intentions of the adopting parent.

so if she actually gets sold for sex slavery how?
as if he does care.
with sure blatant human trafficking its
horrifying to see the corruption of the human
soul, and how lowlifed humans in general has
become.

the worse is its only probably only reported
because Rubina is an Oscar winner.
and that creates news value.
if it was just another child from the slum district,
might the news agencies strive so hard to find
out the real details about all these human
trafficking transactions?
maybe, maybe not.

why has human integrity evolved so?

im tired and starting to zone
off while working.
and i didnt sleep that late
yesterday. ok not THAT late.

i really must be getting old.

collectors item or sth...
oh well.
cant possibly predict the life span
of a living creature i guess.

then the air-con for my working
area crashed. ><
it was dripping water like crazy.
then just as i was frantically
looking for a pail to contain the
dripping air-con...
my dad's room the air-con
crashed TOO.
AND suffered from the same
symptoms as the other air-con,
reducing me to running around
frantically looking for 2 PAILS
so it wun wet the carpet...

and then,
when i went to the toilet,
the %&^#$@! water spray
was screwed,
spraying me with water...
i was like ARGGHHHH.
but not very wet la.
luckily...

by the looks of it it seems
im the one being suay today.
maybe i influenced the office
equipment to join me in my
suay-ness.

and then this lady called to look
for "someone",
whom until now I havent figured
out who it was exactly.
the convo went like this:

"duck: Hello. this is XXX company.
lady: *mumbles* (may i speak to AAA)
duck: erms. sorry ma'am i cant seem
to hear you... would u mind
repeating again?
lady:*mumbles* (repeats above)
duck: pardon? I really cannot hear you.

i mean WTH?!
i know i am constantly accused of
being quite deaf as i always cant
hear my frens and i also cannot hear
my phone's ringtone but i dont think
im THAT deaf...

my phone was on MAX and i STILL
cant hear her, and she continued to
mumble softly.

and my phone got slammed?

went to eat sushi with ben for
lunch on sat between tuitions. :3
went to this sushi restaurant
in amk that doesnt serve expensive
food and has great ambience.
the only prob is that the service
kinda suck.
so if ur not one to be picky about
service like me its a nice place to go.

ambitious heart?

its difficult to live life as a human.
to deal with people's emotions,
reactions, and many things
that may living more complicated.
but shouldnt the least,
be upright and moral?

how come people who have no
ambitions are said to be

yet people who are overly
ambitious can have so many
temptations they become

is very true. and how much and
how people do things would

its VERY ULU.
I prob never thought so as I have been
travelling to his office in his car.
And having worked here for a period of
time, I realised it takes me 1/2 hour to
get my butt to toa payoh.
like OMG. *tears hair out*
1/2 an hour is no joke.
and taking into account the travelling
time I need to get to tuition,
thank god my working time
is still relatively flexible.
And even so,
Im still often late for tuition. D:
like yesterday for example.
I was late for 1/2 an hour!!O.O
i seriously underestimated the time
needed for me to get to hougang.
lucky the mum was understanding.
To be exact,
Im thankful all the mums im dealing
with are understanding and dont
bear grudges for me being late
for tuition.

And I have respectful enough to
payback whatever time I have lost
in the midst of being late.
and today,
Im going to be late ONCE AGAIN
